Your current location is the handicraft district, where leather and ceramic artisans practice the techniques passed down from their great-grandfathers and grandfathers, whose trade secrets have been carefully passed down down the generations. It is one of the longer drives—roughly a 7-hour one—but we will enjoy the trip because of the varied scenery. We’ll stop in Ifrane along the route because it boasts a European-style environment and climate, parks with lakes and chalets, a ski resort, and a lot of snow in the winter, earning it the moniker “Moroccan Switzerland.” On our way to Azrou from Ifrane, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent Atlas cedars and feed the wild monkeys.
The monkeys are sociable and enjoy being fed by humans. Stop for lunch in Midelt. Our route will next pass through the Ziz River’s gorge and valley, and as we get closer to Er-Rashidia, the scenery will turn desert-like.

Nestled among date palms and a desert terrain are villages and fields brimming with olive trees, fig trees, and pomegranate trees. We are permitted to take a tour of the valley and explore Kasbah Amridil, a fortified kasbah in the Skoura oasis.
It is among Morocco’s most stunning kasbahs. Transfer to Ouarzazate, which can be reached by car in 30 minutes from Skura. Stock up on warm clothing because we’ll be stopping for photos along the way. Day 11: Marrakech city sightseeing tour
The entire day will be spent to exploring Marrakesh, the “Pearl of the South,” after breakfast at the hotel. The second choice is to prepare ready for a mountainous adventure. We’ll go on a hiking excursion in the Imlil highlands. We will have a local guide there to help us make the most of our tour and explore the village. The Imlil waterfall hike, one of the simpler ones in the area close to the waterfall, can be done after visiting the museum in the Toubkal National Park.
Day 13: Marrakech to Essaouira (Mogador)
Hotel breakfast is available. Before leaving for our next destination, Essaouira, which is three hours from Marrakesh, we have free time in Marrakesh. The “snow-white medina” of the city, which is encircled by a fortress wall and situated on the Atlantic Ocean’s beach, will be the subject of our sightseeing tour once we get there. Artists from all over the world come to Essaouira to stay and take in the wonderful atmosphere of old Mogador, which was once the biggest commercial port and a hub for pirate activity. The walls, the fishing harbor, and the medina are what have kept the city’s appeal up to this day.
