As you approach Merzouga, the town closest to the Sahara Desert, stop in the market town of Rissani and be sure to visit the cattle auction and ‘donkey park’. For the fifth day of your tours of Morocco , let’s explore the narrow passageways and alleys to get a true feel of this 11th-century fortified city before the crowds overwhelm the old Kasbah. we will leave Ait Benhaddou and return to Marrakech to cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizin Tishka Pass.

Just south of Marrakech, at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, lies the small town of Amizumiz. Start your day trip along quiet narrow streets and mule trails exploring the humble old town market before meeting your mountain guide. Due to its remote location, you will rarely encounter other tourists. So trek between traditional Berber villages set on hillsides, where local farmers and shepherds go about their daily lives.
