About this journey
Why this journey. Jews lived in Morocco for more than 2,000 years, in the great cities and in the villages of the Atlas and the Sahara. This journey visits the places they built and the people who keep their memory today, with time for the desert, the kasbahs and the medinas along the way.
During this private Morocco Jewish Heritage Tour 12 Days, you visit the Museum of Moroccan Judaism in Casablanca, the mellahs of Rabat, Fes, Sefrou, Tinghir, Marrakech and Essaouira, and synagogues such as Ibn Danan, Slat al-Azama and Haim Pinto. Certified local guides lead every city visit, and your own driver stays with you from the first day to the last.
Synagogues and cemeteries are visited with their caretakers, and some close on Shabbat and Jewish holidays, so we arrange each visit in advance. Tell us if you need kosher meals, Shabbat arrangements or a visit to a family grave; we check what is possible and confirm it in your proposal.
